Mixed emotions on the results...

Greetings Collectors,

Well I was able to fight off the temptation to look at my results and waited 'til the package arrived and what I ended up seeing was a little dissapointing. Two of my coins which were suspect from the git-go, having purchased them for not a whole lot more than melt came back in flips being noted as having been "improperly cleaned". These two were the $2.50 & $5.00 liberties, 1893 and 1892 respectfully. I really hate it as these two issues are maybe my favorite coins at the present. But the way I "jump around" with my collection they may not be my favorites next month. Anyway they came back in a "body bag" flip. I am problely wrong but I thought that if you sent a coin in and it was determined to have been cleaned, they slabbed it in a NCS slab as at least "genuine". Evidently that is not the case.

My 1915-S $20 Saint which I bought from a girlfriend, I would have never figured at more than an AU 55-58 and even thought ,knowing this person I got it from, would have come back cleaned, actually surprized me with a MS 62 grade.

The last two were modern bullion purchased from APMEX came back with the gold 1/10 oz. grading MS 69 and the platinum I got the ultimate lofty grade of "70"

All in all not bad, but now it feels like the day after Christmas, the presents have all been opened and now the tree sits, needing to come down. I always get this feeling after opening a package from NGC or PCGS. I am thrilled to have my coins back home but...... I just hate that "low" after the "high". Kinda reminds me of the 70's not really... Anyway I hope everyone has a great safe weekend coming up and me, I guess I will start my search for my next high..er coin and 'til that time Happy Collecting to all of you. Kerry

P.S. Lastly the 1907 $5.00 liberty crossed, but only got a MS 61. I'm still happy...
