"Not somewhat humbled but very humbled!

Greetings collectors,

I feel like a complete insufficiently_thoughtful_person as today was the first chance I got to look at all winners for 2008. At the time of my post yesterday I saw the 2008 winner icon beside revenant and neverman and mentioned them in the post. I did think for just a moment that I was leaving out the other journal winner but I being in a hurry and too lazy to stop and look and then come back to the post figured a "blanket congrats" would be ok for the time being. I never thought in a million years that the other person was myself. Now many others beside my ex-wife know what an insufficiently_thoughtful_person I really am.

First of all I want to thank the gang at NGC for bestowing this true honor on me. I do beleive that there were many others more deserving of that third slot than myself. I have read so many posts by not only the old crew but many new interesting upstarts with many great thoughts. Having said all that I was going to post something about my submission still being in quality control after sending it in on Dec. 17th. But I am not unhappy at all. In fact I won't be at all upset if it takes 'til Jan. 17th. The people here at NGC are the greatest bunch in the whole collecting universe. Kudos to the two best girls in the world in Amy and Lisa. They have assisted me many times and are always in a good mood. I wish I could meet someone like that.

Anyway I am very humbled by this award and I know now I will not be able to take 3-months+ off from journal posting like I did the last part of '08. I wish all of you the best in acheiving your goals for 2009. Take care and as always Happy Collecting! WKF
