Should I start a Signature Set?

I have a lot of decent candidates. I just never really thought about creating that type of a set with them.

My NGC-graded collection is entirely US Coins. Some might say too much (my Wife, especially), but I enjoy them all. However, I do have a number of non-graded coins, in what could be defined as a Signature Set, except that they haven't been graded by NGC. Now I'm starting to think about using my 2009 Coin Budget to investigate getting some of these coins slabbed.

I thoroughly enjoy collecting currency (both coins and notes) from political entities that no longer exist. I have a collection of Soviet Roubles and Kopeks, East German Marks and Pfennigs, Rhodesian Shillings, South Vietnamese Dong, and the list goes on.

I also enjoy collecting colonial currency like British Malaya, Dutch East Indies, Straits Settlements, German and British East Africa, etc.

First, I need to find out if NGC would even grade coins of this nature. If they do, then perhaps around mid-year, I'll start to assemble my set. I think that I'll call it "The Worthless Currency Collection", if the name isn't already taken...
