A difficult task to get to the top and have the number 1 Canadian 1953-67 PL set.

Boy what an adventure. First though let me wish everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It has been quite the task this last year to complete this set. Although, it isn't technically finished untill I upgrade a few and get that last, almost impossible coin to get. I'll keep working on it.

I thought that this was going to be pretty easy to make this set. The coins were out there, and reasonably priced as well. I'm kind of commpetitive so to try to beat the past existing number one set was exciting, and what I thought would be easy. NOPE, NO WAY!! Every time I thought that I could hold the number 1 spot, my direct competition would pop up and surprise me with 1-2 new coins, upgrades etc. By mid Oct. I thought that I had wasted my time and money, because in my mind I had to get the award this year, after all, I was running a race to Dec. 10, and I had worked so hard.

Sending coins in for grading? Man, that literally nickle and "DIMED" me. For all that I sent in after buying them pregraded by others or raw, I only came out ahead in principle. The few that were usable, out of many, really look good. Jackson helped too. He traded a few and gave me one to help out. I'm sending him one, kind of in trade, to respect all the help that he gave me. I don't know the guy that well, but I would like to consider him my friend. Maybe I'll meet him one day, or be able to return the "help".
