No, not another silly coin title!!

Greetings!!

It is an extremely windy day here in Salt Lake City as I write this entry. And it is a day when I have found my procrastination has been my friend as the leaves I piled in the yard with the intent of "picking up and bagging in a day or two" have all blown away.

My mind tells me that they all blew in the city street and that the neighbors will not have to deal with them, but I know this is not the case. I don't really like my neighbors anyway!!

I have been doing some tough soul searching about finances lately ( as many of you have suffered through here in my entries) and have come to the conclusion that I really did make the right choice in taking the job I have and enduring the wage cut. My wife always has a way of pointing out to me the things that really matter, and hey, we have been doing OK, just being more frugal. BUT that is the way of the country right now.

It just pains me to not have my full privelages as a paid Collectors Society member....but that will come back very soon.

I have been eyeing some new coins I want to buy, and I am excited that gold and platinum are down to the REAL prices, NOT what the speculators on Wall Street SAY it is worth. Same as Silver....if the trend keeps up our 2009 prices will be much more affordable, and maybe I will make great gains in my own collection. The St. Gaudens is looking more and more inviting to me, as is a small plat. coin.

I really think 09 is going to be a banner year for us numismaniacs, and I look forward to some great additions (still)
