Well I normally do a pre-journal on my video production work on the next coin video but I lapsed on that this pasted week.. Any how I finished post-production on the third episode of the series called "Spare Change" The third installment talks about the liberty head (coronet) double eagle. Is similar to the last video about the morgan dollar, but I think the beginning of the liberty head is a little weak. In the beginning I talk about James Longacre and Franklin Peale's little disagreements at the mint (if you can call it that..) and how Franklin tried to stop production of the double eagle. I might go back and change it after I review the final cut one more time. I had some issues finding PD images for this video too but it was great to find all the senators and presidents listed at the copyright office in PD. James B Longacre was a hard one to find but in the end I did find a PD image of him. I will have this video posted on youtube probably next week or the week after that. I will also list it in my journal too. My commercial production schedule has gone up this week so I have to delay the videos I love to work on (like this one) and ones I do not get paid to make, for a while. If I can I'm going to start editing the Franklin half video ,which is the next on the schedule, in two weeks. I am also thinking about doing review videos on coin shops (online and off-line). I think it would be a good idea so that other people that collect can look up reviews on the place before they buy. Let me know what you guys think about that one?
