What a show...

I attended CoinFest this weekend with my father. It was one of the best coin shows that I ever went to. I couldn't go on Friday for I was sick, but Saturday was awesome. . I was pretty disappointed because I was going to work for Eye Appealing Coins on Saturday, but because I didn't walk the floor on Friday, like I was supposed to, I unfortunately couldn't.

When we first got there, the atmosphere was great. We got our name tags and immediately hit the floor. The first table we went to was Harry Laibstain, where my dad purchased an 1824/2 PCGS XF45 Bust Quarter and an 1804 PCGS VF30 Bust Quarter as well. The show started off with a bang! Being a 15 year old kid, it is hard to get a lot of money but I saved my money for the past year waiting for this show. The day started to go by and I was starting to think that I wasn?t going to find anything. Until, I found 3 Bust Half Dollars that I really liked. I found an 1807 Small Stars PCGS VF35, 1823 PCGS MS63, and a 1823 Patched 3 NGC AU58. I bought all three of them, and although it used all my money, they were well worth it; I have loaded them into my set, "The Maple Walnut Collection of Capped Bust Half Dollars", if anyone wants to look at them. I also got to see all the coin dealers that I usually talk to through e-mail and look at their web sites. I had a very good time and hopefully will go to the upcoming Baltimore show with my dad. I was happy to be there with my dad and had a lot of fun with him. I love going to coin shows with him and look at all the wonderful coins and to buy some of them. We have a lot to talk about when we get home and the memories last forever. My mom was also very excited to hear about our whole experience, even though she really doesn?t like coins.
