Purchased 1877-CC dime
I was at one of my local shops (yes I have two. One in Niles, IL and the other in Glenview, IL. The shop in Glenview, had an 1877-CC dime in an NGC holder, MS61, and really nice. It is toned a nice shade of grey and has a pock-marked surface, indicative of the rusted dies that were used in that heavy production year. There is no rub ervident on the high spots so I believe the coin is indeed mint state. It seems to have a little dirt accumulated on it, that accentuates the detail. Overall a really nice coin. The price was right, and I purchased it. I have 14 Carson City Morgan dollars and this is my first CC coin other than a silver dollar.
