I've had pretty good luck so far so why not send in some more.

I've been keeping track of my cross-overs in my journal and here's the latest. All 5 coins were in ANACS holders which are really nice looking, maybe the best looking of all the services. The first coin is a 1937 Ireland farthing which was graded ANACS-MS-63RB and came back ina NGC holder as a MS-64RB. A nice bump up of one grade which it deserved on eye appeal alone. Next up was a 1931 Ire. penny sent in as a MS-63RB and sent back as a MS-65BN. Now I'll take a 2 grade uptick any time but why this came back as a brown is beyond me. The reverse has very little red, just around the edge, but the obverse is 30% red. Next up, a 1933 Ire. penny was sent in as a ANACS-MS-64RB and thats the way it came back but in the NGC holder. This coin came back in a little bag saying it was a ggod candidate for NCS. Don't know what they could do to it other than try to make it less brown and more red. The last Irish coin is a 1941 penny sent in a ANACS holder as a MS-64BR and sent back as a NGC-64BN. There is some red in the harp strings and I was hoping it would come back as a R&B. It didn't. This coin also was in a bag as a candidte foe NCS. There is a little pin of a spot that they could get off but I'm happy just the way it is. Now for the coin they got toally wrong. It's a 1815 Ceylon stiver in a ANACS MS-63RB holder that I would have been happy to have come back the same grade. It came back in a NGC holder as a MS-64. Great, a upgrade of one point, I should be happy. I'm not, they sent it back as a brown not a red & brown. This coin is so R&B that the next coin show I go to where NGC is there I taking it with me. If they tell me face to face that this is a brown coin I may never trust them again. The scan showes the coin but with the scan it doesn't show that the red areas are mint red and not faded at all. The great eye appeal of the coin is how the red outlines all the devices and the brown fields aren't even brown but more of a blue and purple mix. Oh well, I should be happy as I got 3 up grades, one of them by 2 points, and 2 stay the same. My next journal will tell you about the 3 crossover Conder tokens I sent in that are on thier way back.
