The age old question NGC vs PCGS new twist

There has been an on going discussion on these journal pages that PCGS has been over grading the presidential dollars, using the statement that the PCGS coins are not crossing over to NGC and keeping the higher grade (MS66,67). I cannot confirm or deny this as I have not tried it my self. I do know however Washington thru Madison PCGS graded MS66and 67 dollars have been less expensive that NGC coin of the same grade. Andrew Jackson has changed all that. The Denver minted PCGS MS66 is going for $300 or more if you can find one and the MS 67 I seen one priced at $1100. I also know that Gainsville Coins had an Ebay listing for the NGC 2008D Andrew Jackson selling for $39.95 with 50 coins to sell and they cancelled the listing after selling only 3, and it has not been relisted at any price yet. As of tonight there is only one listing on eBay for a 2008d Andy Jackson and it is a BIN or best offer $395. there are a few NGC sets at a much lower price. Go figure.On a different note I had a most pleasant experience with David Lawrence rare coin Auctions I won 3 of them the price was good the delivery was fast the coins were excellent I would recommend them to everyone.
