Some of my Internet coin buying experiences and adviceThis being my third and last submission of the month it is in the Early Bird tier and consists of My Dolly Madison 1st spouse coins and three Mercury dimes for my new short set it is also my coupon submission. I went though my raw dimes and picked out the three best ones, so I will see if I have learned any thing. The first one I sent in was for my U.S. commems and all were MS69. The $5 GAE came back MS70. Turn around time door to door was 10 working days. The second one was five 2008W ASE's I got 4 MS70 and 1 MS69. turn around time on this one was even better door to door it took 7 working days.I agree with some of the others buying raw uncirculated coins on Ebay is pretty much a shoot. Buying any coin over the Internet even from reputable dealers can be a bad experience Ken Pine's Coast to Coast coins yea the one who advertises in Coin World Magazine Victimized me three times I got a really nice 1935 Peace Dollar that came back Improperly cleaned ditto with an 1899 Morgan And last but not least 1928S Peace dollar that was Gem brilliant unc came back AU58. I WILL NEVER BUY A COIN FOR GRADING THAT I CAN'T HOLD AND LOOK AT. Buying graded coins so far over the Internet has been safe and some of the prices are hard to beat. One small disclaimer I will buy raw coins for grading if the are in their OGP's. Later JimL4004
