08/07 reverse and old coin dealers
Old school Coin dealers dont know mess
When I go to a coin shop,All I see is high priced junk coins.90% of them wont pay close to retail for NGC and PCGS.85% is ungraded .Buffalo nickels with barely a date or no date,Mercury dime slugs,Bald morgans, wheat pennies that are barely worth copper,ect.10% is certified by anacs and segs and other crappy certification companys.I only go there to buy great B.U. coins that I can send to NGC.By the way, that may be their 5% of what they have left.Older Coin Dealers live in the past, way in the past. They might have a morgan they say is a ms66 and want 200.00 for it.If he is so confident he should have it sent in to ngc or pgcs.He wont, because he will say either that graded coins arent worth anything or He grades better than them or my favorite all coins are a 69 or 70.Hell,I want a 70.Many dealers dont have high graded stuff, and thats why I go only to bigger shows.I want High graded stuff, and 69 wont do..Older dealers live in the past. They will all claim new coins in 70 condition arent worth anything, they must be smoking some good crack.Coins have changed and those old dealers are falling behind. The reason that no dealers didnt have that 08/07 reverse coins because they would rather have that wore out garbage older coins than new, rarer coins. They have no clue what the new coin market is at.Next time you go to a show, open your eyes and you will see the amount of slugs they have and the price they want for them.I brought my ngc Roosevelt 1946-S ms 68*ft to the show and the highest a dealer would give me is 1000.00 for it.I told him when He gets one I will give him 2000.00 for it.Of corse he had no answer for me.This 08/07 reverse is not a hype,it will be a sought after coin.To all those collectors out there, get these last few .If you dont have one,be prepared to have deep pockets.A ms 70 is now over 700.00 last week they was at 500.00 they will be at 800.00 by this weekend.mark my words!!!
