As a new collector, should I submit coins for grading?

I have always enjoyed coins. I tend to be drawn towards modern proof coins. I like the way they look, the weight of an American Eagle especially feels good in my hand. In fact I have every American Eagle Proof since their inception. My thought and desire right now is whether or not I should submit them for grading. What things should I look for when submitting a coin. Obviously as a collector, I should look for coins to submit that would be a high quality. I look at my Eagles and then look at some of the PF70 coins that I have. Frankly I think that my Eagles will grade pretty high. At least that is my hope. So where do I start?
