Coins dealers are snobs

I loved the coin show but.........

I went to the Central States Numismatic Society 69th coin show in Rosemont yesterday.

I loved the coin show but....some dealers are such snobs. I think if didn't wear old clothes and shaved it would have been different.

2 of us walk up to a booth. I am dressed like a bum and the other guy has on a sports coat and pulling a little suitcase behind him. Guess who is asked what they can do for him. The well dressed man.

He leaves and I am still looking in the cases. They don't ask me anything but stand there and watch me like I am going to lift the lid of the case, reach inside, grab all the coins i can and run. I look at them and ask how much are the platinum easgles are. The guy says very expensive. What a jerk. I wanted to reach in my pocket show him $5000 and all my credit cards and say, your such an , i think i take my money and go somewhere else.

The booth with WayneHerndon.com and I have to say that Wayne Herndon and Karin Herndon WizardCoinSupply.com was really nice. Both were very helpful and answered my questions and talked to me like I would buy everything they had. I stepped back, and watched them for a few minutes and they treated everyone as if they were the most important person on earth.

I don't remember the guys name but this guy from GainesvilleCoins.com was also very nice and helpful. We talked about different coins and he stated if there was something they didnt have there, he had his laptop and would contact the company and see if they had it.

Now at the NGC booth, Matt helped me fill out the form and I haded him my 3 piece Bald Eagles. He did everything to prepare them for shipment back to NGC. When he said I had 3 coins and it would cost $30 a coins.

I picked up my stuff and went back to Wayne and Karin booth, bought 2 coins and submitted 5 to NGC at a reduce rated of $12.50. (yea I saved $28.50 on grading but spent $168 with wayne)

NGC said they will be registered Monday morning and the current turn around time is still 12 days.

It was a fun 6 hours and can't wait for the next show in the Mid-West.

Happy Collecting

Bob
