Just kids at heart!

I haven't written a journal entry in a good long time, but I have been watching and reading. Over that time I have enjoyed so many journal entry's, but it got me wandering, what exactly makes us collect these little pieces of metal anyway. Is it the sense of owning something old, something new, something rare, an investment, something to pass the time, sense of accomplishment, the thrill of the chase, or could it be something deeper. Now I can't speak for everyone but sometimes I think it's just the simple fact that it makes us feel like kids again. The excitement in finding that one coin, buying it, owning it, and than for some of us having it graded, and again the excitement begins. Will it grade the way I think, will it grade lower, or better yet, grade higher than expected. It takes me back to the excitement I experienced as a child waiting for that moment, Christmas morning. What am I getting, is it what I expected, did I get what I wanted, I can't believe I got it! I think sometimes us adults get caught up in the game of life and forget that we are all just kids at heart, looking for a little excitement, to take us away from the stress of the real world. Coin collecting does that, well as least for me. Anyway collect what you will, have fun, and never really grow up! Thanks for reading!
