I Robbed my "Batman Bank" and Found it is Very hard to Spend Coins

I looked very intently upon each Quarter...

The economy has hit me right here at home.

Now, I am not "broke" but I have started a new job a few weeks ago, and due to the time of year I have been short of hours lately. This will change in April/May when people turn on their AC's and find they don't work...I mean LOTS of people at THE SAME TIME...but I digress...

Anyway, finding my bank account a little strapped due to lack of hours, my Batman Bank peered at me in a menacing manner as I lifted up it's heavy body full of quarters, dimes and nickels. It was as if Batman, being the detective that he is, KNEW he was about to get robbed. It is as if he KNEW I was out of milk and bread and needed what he held so dear inside of him to buy the essentials of the refrigerator. He stared at me intently as I tipped him onto his side and removed the stopper on the opening that lets the treasure spill out.

I tipped him back into a vertical position, and out came the Quarters, dimes and nickels I needed.....but I realized that these were COINS, and HOW could I PART with them?

Batman seemed to be laughing at me and taunting me as I counted out enough money to buy the milk and bread. He seemed to take joy in the pain this caused as I examined every last coin, yes, even with a magnifying glass, to make sure I was only sending out the coins that were "ordinary".

It seemed to take hours to count out 6 dollars.

I was finally finished, and Batman seemed to sneer and taunt again as I sat him back on the dresser. His face was glued on my brain as I walked to the store next door to get the bread and milk.

I arrived at the store, quickly got the bread and milk as to not feel too guilty for too long...my pace and movements fast and deliberate.

I made it to the cashier....and that look, that SNEER again!!

From the cashier as I counted out real MONEY.

We really do use debit/credit cards wayyy too much!!

Thanks for reading, have a great day!!
