My career sucks....wish I was a coin dealer!!

Greetings everyone!!

Well, I have been on a real rollercoaster lately with my new job where I feel like I am really working too hard, but I don't feel the passion for being a heating and air conditioning technician anymore.

When I first started my career 13 years ago, I was going to school to learn the trade, I was in an apprenticeship as well, where every move was under scrutiny of a journeyman, and I thrived and learned well. My "light reading" consisted of books like " Related Thermo-dynamics" or " The Proper install Procedures of Modern Air Conditioners" or any trade magazine I could get a hold of.

I wanted to be the very best at my trade, and I have worked very hard, where I can say without any degree doubt, that I really AM one of the very best service technicians in the trade today.

This pays the bills very well, and I make an OK living...but I have really lost my drive. I can do this in my sleep...and hell, sometimes DO sleepwalk through the day.

I either start my day or rush home to complete my day HERE on the Collector's Society site. Coins have become my passion, and I WISH it could be my life and livelyhood. My new "light reading has become "ANA Guide to Coin Grading" or any one of several coin mags ...I like Coin age for whatever reason. When I don't have to talk about work, I usually talk about how much I enjoy my coin collection, and how I want to expand it, or why I should NOT expand it, or "did you know the mintage of THAT coin was ONLY..."

Too bad WORK gets in the way of a perfectly good passion!!

Someday, I'LL BE SOMEBODY!! :)

Thanks for reading!! Good luck with that next coin!!
