Oops! I did it again....
I'll tell ya. Just put me in a rubber room.....
Took a submission to the Post Office last Thursday to mail out. I had to get something out of the box, and as I opened it, one of the rubber bands that I was using to hold everything in place shifted over and stuff spread out all over the place. I gathered it all up and put the package back together and mail it.
Well, yesterday I get a call from the Receiving Department at NGC. It seems that one of my coins is missing. Aiyee!!!! At least it was only a Bald Eagle Commemorative 50c. It could've been A LOT WORSE and for that, I am extremely lucky.
I was in a big hurry, running late for work, and just got careless. I need to stop doing that kind of thing to myself... It seems that the older that I get, the more screw-ups I tend to make. What's bad is that I'm only 47 (48 in March). Who knows what's going to happen at 55 or 60. Good thing I don't control the keys in Cheyenne Mountain or something.
On the bright side, my submission has the 2008 Prez Proofs. I don't see any in the Registry anywhere, so I'm wondering if I'm one of, if not the first, to submit those. Not that that is necessarily a good thing; I just thought it interesting and worth writing about... :-)
