Somebody did not want me to make a submission to NGC this weekend
What a comedy of errors and mishaps...
For those who might happen to read some of my postings, you may know that I had planned to send out another submission this weekend. First step was to print copies of the invoices. I proceeded to do this and then ran out of paper. After much searching through my children's effects (and much to their chagrin later, I'm sure) I finally found some paper, as I happened to be out (I wonder how that happened...)
Then, after carefully packaging the coins and the invoices into a USPS Priority Mail Video box, I visit www.usps.gov to print a label. Well, lo and behold, I have no more labels, either. (What are the kids doing with labels?)
I decided that, OK, I will just print on paper and tape it down with clear carton sealing tape. I print the label out and begin to affix it to the carton, run a strip across the top of the label, and a strip along the bottom, and then.... No more tape.
Arrggh! Since I am out of clear tape and the postal carrier will be here at possibly any minute, I elect to just tape down the borders with Masking Tape. It makes my carton look like a hillbilly put it together, but oh well.... I get it done, and run it out to the street to put in the box, find that the flag is still up (Hooray) and come back into the house.
When I walk into the kitchen, much to my horror, I discover that I got so flustered about everything just to assemble a package that I forgot to put the check and the coupon in it.
Aiyeeee!!!!!!
At this point, I have decided to toss in the towel, go get some more carton sealing tape, and just mail the stinking thing on Monday.
