AND my Bald Eagle Comemms are on the way!!

It was just last Thursday when I took off to the local coin shop and saw the VDB pennies first hand. And the earliest penny in my wheat backs is a 1911, and I really do love the wheatbacks, reminds me of my childhood going to the corner store and getting 100 pieces of candy for 100 of the pennies.

I drove the clerks mad, I know, but the swedish fish and squirrels were worth it, and I was always mesmerized by the design and EARLY dates on those pennies...still am, especially when I see the 1944's the steel pennies of 1943, and the 1957's....Chevy's and Elvis...NOT my childhood, but a great idea of what America was at the time...with the war and the perceived (nowadays) innocence of the time and the innocence now lost.

Ever since Thursday I just HAD to have a VDB, and I got a "raw" one from ebay for about $16, shipping included.

LOOKS like it's in good shape via the picture, definately worth grading for preservations sake as only just over 400,000 of these VDB's were made. A nice addition to my registry early next year.

ALSO my bald eagle comemms are on the way, I will be honered to have these as well, and will get these graded along with my 2008 proof silver eagle very soon.

The new job is also going well. This was my 1st full day, and I feel like I fit in very well...now maybe I can SLLEP better!!
