The final Peace of the puzzle

11 days past my goal but not to shabby

I now have a complete set of Peace Dollars. I just obtained the last won(because it was an auction)this past Saturday and received it to day. A 1934D in MS61. This same coin was up for auction two weeks ago, I watched it all week it had an opening bid of $99. The entire week there had been no bids as the last hour of the auction approached I clicked on my EBay countdown (a pretty neat gadget, if you get a chance down load one)and sorting coins for the collections I sell with one eye and watched the auction with the other. When the auction was about over I was going to slip in a bid of $99 right at the end if no one had made a bid, and try to steal it for the $99 opening bid. Well luck was not with me that night as I dozed off sitting in my chair at my desk. Of course the 1934D went on sold. No one bid on it!! When I saw it up again I didn't mess around I just put down my max bid and if I was out bid Oh well. I led wire to wire and all though it never reached the max bid did not get it for $99.

I have a submission in quality control My Jamestown proofs and the 1991 veterans proofs. I have two more submissions lined up after getting my 2008 ASE proof coin and 5 2007w burnished die unc ASE's.

Last but not least by any means and feeling rather good about it also I was very much surprised to find out that I had received a 2007 Journal Award and very honored. I would like to thank Bruce , Jackson and the King of Eagles and everyone else for there kind words and encouragement, along with who ever at Ngc decides who get the awards thank you very much. As always see you on the flipside.
