Thanks Tom
you know who you are
I just wanted to say "thanks" to Tom of Palmdale, Ca. for getting me into this hobby again after living blissfully without it for forty plus years. Through what started as casual conversations on breaks, reminiscing how my older brother and I collected pennies as kids, he got me thinking about getting back into it. With Tom's three generations of collection experience (imagine what's in the vault) and advice, he got me going with purchasing (innocently enough) a 2006 silver proof set with the state quarters. Of course, now I was off to the races, trying to make up for lost time. Take a look at my gallery if you have any doubts. Thanks Tom! Can I get a loan? I didn't realize once I started collecting again how much time would be spent reading, researching, cruising Ebay and local coin shops. (neither did my wife) I certainly didn't realize how expensive this hobby would become (of course I only want the highest graded coins now and pooh pooh the lesser grades...as if I can afford it!) champagne taste, beer budget...I'm sure you've all had your "Toms" in your lives at one time or another. Why did we listen to them? Thank you so much Tom...(that was sarcasm)...you know who you are! (I do enjoy it though, thanks Tom...no sarcasm) Happy Holidays!
