A FESTIVUS MIRACLE!!

Or "Looking Forward to our annual "Santa Claws" Party

Greetings and happy Festivus everyone!! :)

It has been a little while since I posted anything ( I hear a collective "THANK GOD" ) but today I had a spare moment and thought I would check in.

During the Thanksgiving holiday I spotted a Snoopy 1st Spaceflight commem coin on ebay (dated 1969) and put a bid in and subsequently lost....but it was one of those bids that deep inside after bidding I was HOPING to lose.

I started regretting the bid after I contacted NGC and found NGC does not grade that sort of coin...so my excitement lost it's steam, and I am glad I lost out.

Keeping the "no more coins til next year" promise to my wife has been both challenging and a blessing for me as I have had some time to calm down and GET A GRIP....and ummm OK pay my credit cards off.

I obsess over my silver eagles more than just about anything else. Yesterday I went out and bought the U2 20th Anniversary release of "The Joshua Tree" and lamented "hell, that coulda been 30 dollars I coulda spent on COINS" all the while getting a crusty look from my wife, and other people in line at Best Buy.

They just don't get it I tell ya!!

OK now to why my title is my title, and this has nothing to do with coin collecting, but I hope it is at least interesting.

Every December ( usually the 24th) my wife and I go to my mom in laws house to have a "Santa Claws Party" where we have a crab leg dinner ( hence "claws") and maybe too many drinks.

Well, everything goes well enough UNTIL the lectures start about Oh...anything mom in law feels like lecturing about.

I always just giggle a "too many drink giggle" but my wife never gets the oppotunity to "let it go" and usually there is a "discussion" between them that ends with us leaving ....early.

So this year, I am hoping for a Festivus miracle of peace...and no wrestling!!

Have a great Festivus y'all!!
