She is best known by lady Liberty

I ordered a 2007 One Tenth Proof Gold Bullion of St Gaudens Liberty from the U.S. Mint and it just arrive a few days ago. Even though this is the smallest of the gold offerings it is something to behold. Looking at this coin is some how mesmerizing. Please allow me for a few minutes to espress my feelings that this image of Liberty has for me, and I trust many of you as well. The design is terrific, a masterpiece of art, grace, style, and beauty. This coin captures the mystic of Liberty walking as she carries herself with such grace that it inspires one to admire the ideal of liberty. Gold is a most beautiful medium to emboss Liberty in for she is indeed precious to know, and like a true lady she holds her self confidently, and carries her torch to light the way for others that they may see the path she takes and the rays of light behind her reminds us that she marches forward actively in pursuit of her grandest goal of standing for Liberty wherever she goes. At her feet is the nations, in the grasp of one hand is an offering of peace while in the other she hold a beacon to illuminate the way before her and to give hope in a world were Liberty is always in danger of being lost. Liberty's flowing robes and tresses remind us of the winds of change and how she must hold herself proudly to maintain her posture in the world and to give others hope. Yes, she is a beautiful lady, Liberty and when a people fall in love with her they can not go back from her allurement for what she offers can not be bought, it must be won and held onto with dearest integrity, and the greatest of all cost as Lady Liberty is priceless.

The proof gold bullion I purchased came in a beautiful blue velvet case with a gold clasp. It reminds me that Liberty is a royal hope and the gold clasp cause me to rememember that she, Liberty, must be held with security, she must be defended and protected. The coin is cased in a lovely clear plastic window and like the page of a book may turn and be observed from both sides. On the reverse the Eagle is soaring majesticly and most proudly In truth the Eagle has a mate at nest and a young Eaglet in the nest. In this we are reminded of freedom as the Eagle is a free and powerful bird, and any nation that desire Liberty and Freedom must be likewise powerful, and possess itself with soveignty. The 2 Eagles remind us that we need companions in freedom and the young Eaglet that freedom must grow and prosper. Also to the right of the Eagles nest are the words "IN GOD WE TRUST", where does the power of and nation of people come from? It is from their faith in God, only then does liberty and freedom spring from a source that others can not take away for God is the supreme authority that no other nation should lord over or supress the ideals of Liberty and Freedom if a people under God desire to embrass them. My hope and prayer for our country is that we shall ever aspire to such ideals that the beauty of this coin captures.
