Full speed ahead may not be the best appraoch to this wonderful hobby.

I've enjoyed reading other journals, so I thought it was time to write my first entry. Over the last four months I have followed a similiar path as some of your journals I've read. I stated collecting coins in June 7, 07. At that time the only coins I owned were the ones in my pockets. Flash, I was off like the hare in that famous race. My first interest was to get some complete sets X 3 for each of my 3 children. I did that for awile and now have 3 sets on raw Walkers, Statehood Qtrs, Sacs and stated my three Presential sets. I enyoed the hunt but got quite confused about which was the best was to collect.

So a friend of mine told me to buy the oldest and the best coins that you can afford. To focus on slabbed coins. BANG off to the slabs, bought everything I thought was a good deal, 3 sets of Eagles, SBA's, Sac's, Modern Commemoratives, Early Commems even a few tokens a long the way. Yuppo, MANIC as hell. Having a blast but need to take a few weeks off to sort out and plan direction for my next collection journeys. May even sell off some of the extra's. I got a real nice Collection of beautiful coins. Over 300 slabs with over half of them being 70's MS/PF. I'm going to sit back look at each coin,listen to their stories and read all I can about these beauties which are full of history. I 've learn so much in the last four month but yet I feel as I'm a bush league rookie. Thank for listening.
