This is not what coin collecting is all about, I'm sorry but that is the way I feel.

I guess this might be easy for me to say because I will never be in the position to be ranked first in any registry set of any kind. I am ranked # 92 In the Peace Dollar category and while I plan to move up higher in the future, I will never be #1 my pockets are not that deep. The top entries have single coins that are worth more points than my entire collection. My wife surprised me with a coin that she had bought for me for our anniversary recently. I have a Lincoln cent collection (raw) that I have been working on for ages and I am down to about six that I still need. She has heard me say many times that I would have to for go the 1909VDB S but would be very happy with a plain old 1909S. She than always answers how can any one spend all that money on a penny!! Well she went out and bought me one for a present A 1909S in VF I was speechless. That old raw penny collection has been a favorite of mine, It was the first collection that I started and now it has become the most valuable, It will never be # 1 anywhere but in my heart and that is fine by me.
