The memory just ain't what it used to be

I packed up a submission yesterday and shipped it off to NGC. I securely wrapped all of the coins (proof sets and commemoratives) and carefully packaged 3 copies of the invoice with the coins wrapped inside. Last night, I go to pay a bill and see that the top check in my checkbook is made out to NGC. Whoops! I got on the phone with them this morning and explained the situation. The lady was very kind although I don't think this kind of thing happens to them too often. She said that she would let their Receiving department know, but knowing my luck, my coins will get misplaced on a shelf somewhere waiting for the check to arrive, which I promptly mailed this morning. Thank goodness I managed to remember where the Post Office is.
