With gold and silver pushing skyward what are collector to do?

As Gold and silver is moving upward and a new year of coin collecting coming quickly, what is one to do? The 2008 silver and gold eagles will be shipped from the mint around Jan 3. With prices of these coins high, what do you do? Wait and hope that prices are going lower or buy as soon as you can. I like the early release coins grades by NGC. If I wait and allow others to buy and have the coins graded I may be able to buy them later in the year at a lower price, but who knows. My thinking is as the price of the metal increases in price, the less that is sold by the mint. SO what do you do buy as soon as you can or wait.
