The "Burnished" Identity

A note of comparison...

Greetings! (again)

The other night while I was getting my coins ready to go to NGC for grading, I took a moment and held my 2007W and 2006W uncirculated burnished silver eagles next to my 1989 MS 69 bullion coin, just for a comparison.

You know what? The Bullion coins sure are more, ummmm Brilliant? looking. I think I like those better in an asthetic sense. BUT do not get me wrong, I do really LOVE the burnished coins, but I really was struck at how beautiful the bullion MS 69 luster was. In my opinion, these coins are a very wonderful work of art, and I am SOOOOOO glad I am having the oppotunity to collect these.

I really am getting excited about the $5 gold coins, too. I was taken a LITTLE aback at how small they are, but upon STARING at my $5 gold coin for..oh.. HOURS now, I am finding that I really do like it a lot. Very affordable ( for now) as a starting gold collection, although I still prefer silver as an investment of bullion coins...still lots of upward movement, and bigger gains as compared to gold.

What a great hobby we are a part of, and it is excellent to be a part of the Collectors Society. I am starting to get to know a few of you, and I am very happy that others share this passion.

Have a great night!!
