Hawaii proof coins are very breathtaking. My 50 Cent Proof63 is so nice to look at, I look at it with heavy magnification lots of times. And I never get tired of it. NGC graders gave this coin a PF63, with none finer. I would be frightened, to grade this coin lower than any others. I don't know the criteria they use when grading proof coins, but I do know that they know something that I don't
If I saw this coin at the same time that I saw the other 3,and I had to assign them a grade, I would panic. I would love to see all 4 of them together, and not have to express my opinion. Truthfully, I can't immagine any proof 50 cent piece being nicer. I would probably give them all a 65. I guess that's what separates the professional coin graders from the amateurs. I look at this coin next to proof 65 US coins, and can't see the difference. I feel that the NGC graders that give these coins a number, are probably the strictest of any of the grading companies, and I would love to talk to them and learn their criteria. Anyway, here is the obverse, unfortunately they only give me one picture slot in the journal, and I am batting "zero" in trying to scan coins in the signature category, Lots of Aloha!!
