Here's My two Cents

I think the rule should be changed lets make it 100% have a category for only complete sets.

My goal in Collecting coins has always been to complete the set! I don't always succeed, and I have many works in progress but I keep trying. For many years I thought that the majority of collectors of NGC and or PCGS coins acted and thought like the one who started all this commotion. I joined the Collectors Society so I could submit coins for grading and nothing more. I didn't own one slabbed coin. Once I started reading the journals I thought maybe I was wrong about slab collectors being snobs. I started with some coins that I had graded that I thought were pretty good and after they were graded they were worth less than I paid for them, so I kept them and entered them in the registry. A couple of them were Peace Dollars. There are only 24 Peace Dollars somewhat short of the 60 coin minimum. When I wrote in the journal about my quest for my 1928 P and finally when I acquired it. A number of the members actual took the time to E-mail me with congratulations. When I took the time to visit their home pages I was surprise to see many of them with major point totals. Then I realized that they had understood what I had felt and went though to get that coin. I was hooked and a whole new world opened up. So I know that among all of the good people in the Society there has to be at least a few that DON'T GET IT. My coins are pretty much my life or so my wife tells me but there's no way I would ever spend $2,000 on a dime, A dollar yes, a penny yes, but not a dime.
