Got my latest grades back
Didn't do too badly, I suppose.
I was real pleasantly suprised to find out that the two Commemoratives that I submitted, from the 1986 Statue of Liberty issue, came back PF69 UC for the 50c and PF70 UC for the $1. I'm especially tickled because I paid $18.99 for the set on eBay last month.
My state quarters... Well, I was disappointed, but not surprised. For as many quarters as I've had graded in the past, I would've thought that I'd see at least on PF70. Again, all PF69 UC. I still have a couple of more sets to throw the dice on. Maybe the next submission will do it.
As for the rest, I was slightly disappointed with my 1955 Frankin Proof, even though it did come back as PF67. I was hoping for a PF68, because it is quite a nice coin. But all in all, I can't complain.
Next on my agenda: figuring out what I'm going to submit next. I have a couple of East Bloc proofs that are really sharp, but I don't know if NGC would even grade them. I've always been fascinated by Communist coinage, but I don't know if anyone else would appreciate it like I do. I'm also debating on whether or not I should submit the rest of my older Silver Proof Sets (61-63). Oh well, pondering this will give me something to keep my mind amused while my Wife watches the Lifetime channel.
