It's Nice to have SOMETHING considered "perfect" ...I think?

Now, I am just anordinary guy with ordinary tastes and not reall a whole lot of "needs".

But when I saw this MS 70 W Silver Eagle Uncirculated coin, I got what treasure hunters refer to as "the fever".

Day after day I lost sleep, anticipated and even OBSESSED about getting the coin and not having it be lost..or the deal falling through, etc.

When it did finally get here I IMMEDIATELY registered it on my NGC registry, and still remain excited with that old adrenaline rush I used to get when Reggie Jackson or Johnny Bench actually returned the cards I sent to them with their autographs.

And I think that's really what collecting is all about. I mean, really, it's just a piece of metal or a piece of cardboard.

BUT the LIFE one actually feels when the object is acquired, the longing to get more coins and more cards..the feeling of LIFE ..that's really what I think we are collecting.

I am glad to feel the joy that comes with this, and to share the experiences with all of you.
