NGC-PCGS Face-off
And the winner is......
I would like to see a face-off between NGC and PCGS grading modern commemoratives. I don't understand why a 2007 Little Rock NGC MS70 is so much less expensive than one graded by PCGS. And this goes for all modern commemoratives. I think most of us know that PCGS is reluctant to grade a coin MS70 or PF70. Now why is this? Perhaps they are keeping the population down to keep the prices high. Is there something going on in the grading industry that we don't know about? After all, NGC has the ANA and PNG in its corner. When you think about it there should not be a winner in this face-off. After all, a 70 is a 70, but it looks like a NGC 70 is less of a 70, despite the grading standards set by the by the industry. MS and PF grading runs from 60 to 70, but I guess PCGS runs from 60 to 71 . What does NGC have to do to receive the same respect as PCGS? I am sure that day will come, but in the meantime I will continue to buy NGC MS and PF 70 modern commemoratives and send my raw commems to PCGS.
