When will I ever figure out that I stink at selecting coins to grade?

As in the lyrics of a famous 80s song, "Here I go again". I put in another submission to NGC. 3 Proof Sets (without the Statehood Quarters). 2000, 2001, and 2003. As I'm waiting for the status to roll over from "Received" to "Scheduled for Grading", I asked myself one of those questions that seem so obvious. Why are you submitting coins in the first place? You know you stink at it, Bruce. Every time you expect MS-62, you get AU-53, or worse, a Body Bag. (If my wife knew anything about coins, she'd be saying this to me, too.)

And as I pondered this deep (to me, anyway) question, I realized that the answer is that I really don't care that I stink at it. I enjoy the challenge, and one day, I WILL get grades that I expect to get. It may just take a little time (and a LOT of money) And when that day comes, I'll probably give up adding to my coin collection and start collecting PEZ dispensers or something.

And so, in a few weeks, I'll be sending in some 1999 Mint Sets that I stumbled upon (and mentioned in a previous posting), and see if I can match wits with the Graders once again. Watch out, evil Graders... I'll be baaack.

PS: Graders, if you're reading, I'm kidding about the evil thing...
