As I always say the only real vaule of a coin is how much that someone is willing to pay for it!!!!

A little bit about online actions E-bay and to a lesser extent HA.com are very much a buyers market. I often wonder where the sellers are getting the coins that they sell? Common date Morgans Ngc MS64 1879s,1880s,1881s,1882and so on, regularly sell for $30-40 sometimes less. Peace Dollars for less, there are so many of these for sale it can't help but drive the price down. When I look to buy or sell coins, slabbed or raw I check the price in coin values mag for year and grade and divide it in half and your in the ballpark. Key date coins are a differant matter you can usully get a good price for them, I said usully, if there happens to be alot of them for sale at any givin time the price will go down. I now check the avilability of coins that I am going to sell and if in my estimation there is alot of them for sale I will wait until there are fewer for sale before I list. It is becoming harder and harder to buy coins online or any where for that matter and to be able to sell them at a profit.I have be looking for a good wholsale dealer for quite some time and havn't found one yet.

I have also tried Government seized property actions and found the coins very much over priced.

Not to change the subject but I would recommened to everyone not to buy raw coins in any online auctions to send for grading you are only asking for disapointment. Moderns in mint packaging are an exception. AS in the past I never know when to quit, so Ill do it now.
