My two cents about dealers

To start with I have a small coin business on the side. My monthly sales are about $1500. My wife tells me I will never make a go of it because I'm to honest. I don't sell junk or over graded coins. I no what it feels like to be cheated and ripped off and don't want to cause anyone that feeling. I buy and sell on E-bay, mostly raw coins. I buy only NGC or PCGS graded coins on E-bay for my self. Most all the graded coin lots and bulk buys are ripoffs, over grading is so common that I automatically bid a max price of a coin 2 grades down. Any coin graded by ANI, UNC, are not worth much, they are so over graded. I have seen coins graded by these companies that were MS67 and the coin had noticeably wear!! Yet they sell them by the thousands. I'm sure you have seen them $100,000 in trends you can buy for 2-3 hundred dollars, and still get ripped. You can still find good deals on Ngc and Pcgs coins because of the shear volume of coins hold down the prices. In my town we have one good dealer his name is Rich and his shop is The Coin X-change Rich is honest and fair and is the president of the biggest local coin club.I learned a lot from him and every so often I can get something at a good enough price I can resell it for a pretty good return. The rest of the dealers in town are pawn brokers and we won't even go there. As usual I had some pretty good ideas to write about but just rambled on.
