Of course my daughters are interested in collecting coins, too. Gold ones fitted into jewelry.... :-)

Actually, my 13-year-old daughter is very interested in International paper currency. I try to take that interest and translate it into lessons in history and current affairs, explaining who the person on the money is (if an individual happens to be on the bill), or what I happen to know about that particular country. She takes in quite a bit of what I have to say, although I have to admit that I'm at a loss as to how she can stay awake through some of my ramblings....

Enjoy every minute that you have that connection with your little girl. Those things seem fleeting, but they really do last.
