GEORGE WASHINGTON MS-67 PRESIDENTIAL COIN

I thought it would be interesting to see how many TOP POP MS-67 FIRST DAY OF ISSUE GEORGE WASHINGTON PRESIDENTIAL COINS I could assemble.

As of today 6-07-2007 the NGC pop report for the 2007-P MS-67FD is 32 with none higher. The pop report for the 2007-D MS-67FD is 28 with none higher.

PCGS POP REPORT shows MS-67-P FD @13 with none higher,MS-67-D FD @3 with none higher. So how rare are they? Pretty rare I think. Remember 1999 WASHINGTON STATE HOOD QUARTERS? These dollars will surpass 1999. Timing is everything!!! So where are they?

Since early march I have been tracking sales from ebay on line,private collecters that I personally know,dealers inventory,and my own personal holdings. The following is what I have accounted for.

PCGS: Out of 13-P- MS-67FD I can account for all 13 coins sold.

PCGS: Out of 3-D-MS-67FD I can account for all 3 coins sold.

NGC: Out of 32 P-MS-67FD I can account for 25 coins

NGC: Out of 28 D-MS-67FD I can account for 19 coins

There seems to still be a small window of opportunity available with NGC graded coins. So have fun searching I`ll keep tracking and searching too. Ten years from now you`ll be glad you did.

Today is 5-15-2007 an as I search ebay I found for bidding the last PCGS 2007-P MS-67FD for sale by a dealer as per my information above. Here is the item number #190113586355 check it out.

UPDATE-This coin recieved one bid which was declined by the seller,everyone else was either asleep or on vacation.

UPDATE: 5-21-2007 This coin was relisted again by the seller on ebay item #190115517258 for $2250.00 or best offer.

UPDATE: 5-24-2007 This coin sold privately.

5-21-2007 I found a NGC-2007-D MS-67 FDI for sale on ebay this morning item #330122677496

UPDATED....This coin sold today to BUY IT NOW for $850.00

I have adjusted my list above to account for this sale.

5-21-2007 Panic was in the air this morning. As I browsed the new census report for the Washington Dollars it showed that there where 93 coins graded MS-69 for the 2007-P previous high was 8 at MS-67. I almost fell out of the chair and said no way Jose this could be possible the way some of this coins have been beat up. So I called NGC to see what was going on,and they agreed with me that the market would crash and the phone lines would be ringing off the hook. They said they would check it out and thanks for the heads up. About an hour and a half later it was removed and order was restored.

5-22-2007 I have added another NGC- MS-67 FDI P&D from a private source to my collection today and have adjusted the list.

6-03-2007 Looks like a collector picked up a good deal today on ebay. A Washington NGC MS-67 P&D which were a re-sale Item #170116612882 P-coin sold for $470.99 and the D-coin Item #170116612000 sold for $417.01, this coin had sold for $786 two months ago on ebay.

6-12-2007 In the early morning hours 1:16am someone was up an purchased another MS-67-D for $725.00 on Ebay item #130121609374

6-12-2007-UPDATE TO MY COLLECTION:

Well we have been spending sometime with our daughter and new grandson who turned 4 months old yesterday, and Iam now doing some catch up with the coins. Iam adding today 6- MS-67P and 2-MS-67-D coins to my collection,they are getting tuff to fine. I can now account for a total of 44 coins P&D out of a Population of 60-NGC coins combine. Keep searching.

Both of this coins are coins owned by a private collector which I have already accounted for on my list.

Both of this coins sold today in about 12 hours after being listed. One lucky collector took the leap and purchased both coins on a BUY IT NOW bid for $999.00 each.
