China!
For many of us, purchasing coins from China has little to do with
anything other than the desire to obtain a needed coin for our collections. The thought that buying from a foreign country somehow puts the buyer in a "DESERVE WHAT YOU GET" category is not only ludicrous, it's arrogant and insulting. When it comes to swindlers and cheats, the good old USA has more than its fair share. We have all been taken advantage of at one time or another. All of us except of course the pompous "KNOW IT ALL."
As a new collector, I was excited to find the exact coins I needed at a price I could afford. How could I know I'd receive counterfeit coins anymore than I could know whether or not the auto mechanic replaced a $300 computer chip in my car because he said so. Maybe the chip was loose and I paid $300 to have him tighten it. The reason many of us get taken is because we believe people are basically good and honest. I treat people the way I want to be treated. Giving them respect and trusting, until proven otherwise that their integrity is equal to mine. I learned a long time ago not to judge a book by its cover. First impressions do not necessarily define the person. I have been trying to keep my mouth shut. Trying not to react to the pontifical comments of the few who talk about me as if I am a fool, because I bought coins from China. Okay, I've said my piece, and no... I don't feel better having gotten it off my chest.
