Coin Images for the Registry

I just can't get it right!

I've been having "fun" trying to get quality images of my coins into the Registry. I'm not very satisfied. I've tried scanning them, photographing them in indirect sunlight, photographing them in artificial light, photographing and scanning with light and dark backgrounds . . . Nothing really comes out well. Some of you have incredible images. How do you do that? tsc
