All Collecting Goals Are WORTHWHILE!
Collectors slighted by attitudes of the BIG MONEY folks.
I have noticed a certain, shall we say "snobbery" (?) or arrogance in the attitudes of many dealers/collectors, especially those at coin shows. I have heard phrases like "What's the matter with you, can't you see it's a bargain at only $65,000!!" tossed about, as if most of us are millionaires. While my circumstances have improved over the years, NOTHING excites me like finding a worn Buffalo nickel in my change or a box full of old Lincoln pennies. If we do not find ways to keep new generations interested and involved, our "hobby" will lose the base that supports these astronomical prices.
