TO ALL WHO HELPED ME WITH MY PICS
I asked for a little help with getting decent pics of my coins and the response has been overwhelming.
I have received about a dozen e-mails with tips suggestions and links to threads helping me to get the most out of what I currently have.
I asked if I need a scanner or a camera: This is a collective summary of my perspective on what I read? It seems scanners are the easiest to use and give great pics but have no ?pop? and leave any Luster behind. Cameras on the other hand are a lot more work but can give coins great depth, clarity, reflection and color? Showing the ?Luster?.
I do not have a scanner but I do have my Kodak 5mp digital camera which has been great for family photos but horrible for close ups and giving me unuseable coin pics? A couple simple suggestions I have been given have made an incredible difference. Just by changing a camera setting, using an old tripod I have never used, and working on the lighting BAM!!! GREAT PICS!!!
Now these new pics do not hold a candle to some of the pics I have seen out there but my pics now are awesome compared to what I was getting. I will be posting them in my Morgan CC Reg Set
ALL IN ALL.. For now I am happy with the results I am getting now and I want to thank all of you here for the help. Without all this input I would not be thinking about putting pics up for my Reg Set
THANK YOU ALL!!!
