2 Diamonds in the Rough
Makes me think about collecting the Kennedy?s now.
Ok, so I am out on eBay before late last year and I find this auction for 10 coins. It was marked as all silver, some modern. 9.99 was the buy it now price. I figured why not it is only 10 bucks with free shipping. Did the buy now button and 4 days I get my 10 coins. When I got the box, not all of the coins were silver. They were silver looking though. Here is what was in it and what NGC graded the 10 coins at:
2001 Eagle ? AU58 (Wish it would have been better, but will keep anyways)
1980 S Washington 25c? PF69UC (I don?t keep these)
2002 S Mississippi Silver 25c ? PF69UC (Will go good to the collection)
2003 S Missouri Silver 25c ? PF69UC (Will go good to the collection)
2004 S Michigan Silver 25c ? PF70UC (Will go very nicely with collection)
2002 S Kennedy Silver 50c ? PF69UC (I don?t keep these)
2000 S Kennedy Silver 50c ? PF69UC (Same as above)
1976 S Kennedy Silver 50c ? PF66 (Same)
1969 D Kennedy 50c ? MS66 (I think some one overlooked this one.. Good thing!!!)
1984 S Olympics 1d ? PF69UC (I will keep this)
Now I don?t know about you but when I get any coin I take a look at the population report to get a good idea on what I have got my self into and to see if the money was well spent. Well the PF70 (who cares about a perfect coin anyways, we all know it can pull in over 100 right?). I like the 69?s my self as I collect the coin not the grade and I can not tell the difference between a 69 and a 70 except for the price anyways. What really got me was the 1969 D MS66. Come to find out that there are only 71 graded this high according to NGC Pop Report and just a few graded at MS67. A possible $300 coin from a 10 grab bag. Not bad. As soon as the coins arrive I will be taking pictures and putting them in the registry.
