Supply and DEMAND!

It's all about what people want to collect. A lot of the "New Collectors" want Gem State Quarters, Gem Kennedys, Gem Modern Commemoratives, Gem Silver Eagles, ect.

If it was all about rarity, certain Large Cents would be selling for 10 times their current price. A Large Cent with the SAME RARITY as a given Morgan Dollar, sells for 1/10 the price, or less, of the Morgan.

It's simply that a LOT more people collect the organ Dollars. It is my belief, (and I'm often wrong...) that "Moderns" will indeed be lucrative for years to come, the Presidential Dollar Program will bring about even more interest in modern coinage, and the simple fact that most of these "New Collectors" like modern coins!
