Is it a spike or is it a double die from the N in epluribusunum.

I just bought a 21 peace dallor. After I bought it and got in better light, I noticed that it had a spike off the breast. I took it back into the dealer to see if he knew it was there. He looked and said no, and I don't need a loop to see it.

When I got it home I looked at it with my magnifiers. It took me by suprise when I noticed that it was not only a spike but was in the shape of a V. The V is in direct line with the N in epluribusunum.

After lookng and measuring I beleive that a spike is a double die of the N. It measures the same. If this is true I don't know why there is not more doubling.

I would like to send this off and have my find confirmed. But not too sure who would be the best to work with.

Any help or advise would be appreciated.I will let you know what I find out.
