Well, I've been wondering when the certificates were going to arrive this year since the plaques are already in - the plaques almost never arrive first.
I go to the mailbox with the family this morning and I'm treated to this:
All I can do is just sit here and shake my head and think, "Really? For Serious?" I know those folks aren't having the best time right now but... really?
Yeah. Technically, NGC didn't stamp "do not bend" on it, but, why else would you ship something in a cardboard mailer like that? Really? Would taking it to the front door have been so hard? Who spit in his coffee yesterday morning?
I only even get these things like this because the 10G set has won every year since Ben's birth year so I have one for every year he's been alive. I've been thinking I'd get some protector sheets and put them all in a binder for him if I keep winning the category - which seems likely for now.
This just torques me off.
Day 27!
Also: Apparently Adobe Photoshop scolds you for trying to "Edit images of currency," and automatically closes out the photo if it thinks that's what you're doing. It only does this with US currency I guess because I've been doing this exact same thing with Zimbabwe notes for over a year to make sure I'm getting close with the brightness and the colors / white balance and never had a problem but the minute I try it with US notes so I can have full images in my PMG registry sets at last I start having problems. How wonderfully selective of Adobe! But I guess it would be hard for them to have that set up for every denomination of every global currency - that would be a lot of notes to be able to recognize!
