Co-Workers, First World Problems and Other Things
The last few weeks
So, I've determined that the worst time is the time between ordering a coin and when it is delivered. I have a Washington Quarter and two obsolete bills somewhere between the seller and me. I ordered them yesterday, but the wait is awful.
I went out to a bookstore called Books A Million to pick up some magazines: Coins, Coin World and Coinage. (I really need to get a subscription) When I was checking out, the cashier told me that she had recently learned that someone who collects coins is a numismatist. I told her she was absolutely right and about how much I love the hobby. I also told her that the coin folders that they sell are a great way to get into Numismatics. Hopefully the bug bites her.
Lastly, my co-worker from Azerbaijan had a birthday last Sunday, so I bought him a proof set from 1988, the year he was born. My other co-worker has taken an interest in Star Notes. When I find them in the ATM deposits, I give them to him so he can keep them in his drawer until he's ready to buy them. I decided to get him a Silver Certificate Star Note for his collection. That came in today, so I am going to give that to him tomorrow. Hopefully these are the starts of great collections for both of them.
I hope ya'll are enjoying the hobby as much as I am right now.
