Back in the coin collecting game

Four years.

In that time I could have completed one term as president. Earned another bachelor's degree. Or served a prison sentence for a serious felony.

Alas, that's also how long I've been out of the coin collecting game. And the last time I submitted a journal entry.

For the good readers of the numismatic community, sadly my story isn't unlike a lot of stories nowadays. In 2011 I went through a devastating divorce, and sold off what was the beginnings of a very nice collection. This revenue paid off my attorney fees and kick started my new life, and I'm happy to say four years later I couldn't be better and am anxious to renew my love for coins.

My foray back into numismatics includes a 1901 ngc proof 66 barber dime, and a recently-purchased 1938 ngc proof 67 walking liberty half dollar, the latter with the cac designation. I've always been particularly fond of barbers and walkers, and I'm beyond blessed to be able to purchase such high-grade examples of each. In fact, I will attach the obverse of my barber dime.

I do enjoy reading the communities' journal entries for their mix of humor, insight and nostalgia, and I will try to post something periodically that can contribute in a meaningful way. In the meantime, God bless to each and every one of you out there, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
