New sets being added
Hi everyone. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm with all this cold weather we are having. Even here is the sunshine state we have been experiencing some unusually cold weather this year. Most of you who follow me know that I am mostly a Lincoln cent collector. After completing my 1959-date Lincoln circulation issues set I was looking for a new direction to go in. At one time I did have a very nice short set 34-58 wheat ear. I sold the majority of those off at one time to pursue other goals. I had been wanting to start this set up again and finally took the plunge. I would like to present my first addition to my renewed 34-58 set. Here is my NGC MS66RB 1955 DDO. NGC has graded nearly 4000 1955 DDOs and out of that amount only 31 have been graded MS65. That is 14 brown, 14 red brown and 3 red. Only 2 have been graded at MS66, 1 red and this red brown example. I passed on this coin last year when TeleTrade had it up for auction. They had some of the worst possible pictures of this coin which did not do it any justice. Both the obverse and reverse have taken on some wonderful toning that exhibit undertones of gold, pink and apricot. The coin is devoid of any major detracting blemishes. This of course will be my once in a lifetime coin. I hope you all enjoy my latest addition. I also want to take a moment to congratulate all of 2013s registry award winners. We have an amazing society. Keep up the great work. As always, thanks for looking and Happy Collecting
